VIDEO: Highlights of streamboard matches from Players Championship 26

On Thursday, the 26th Players Championship tournament of the season was played in Barnsley. Participating in this event were PDC Tour Card holders, supplemented by reserve players through the Challenge Tour.
This tournament was finished off television cameras, but four boards could be watched via stream. The PDC has put together a summary of the matches that could be seen via the two major streams.
The recap includes the final between Ryan Joyce and Gerwyn Price. In this final, Joyce surprisingly captured his second ranking title by defeating 'The Iceman' 8-7.

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention. Maybe there is too many tournaments now and the enthusiasm is gone. This year especially has seen so many different winners and unexpected draws and line ups.richieburnettrocks14-11-2024
