Draw announced for Players Championship 27 including Michael Smith, Anderson, Clayton, Wright and Humphries

Another Players Championship tournament is scheduled for Friday in Barnsley. A field of 128 players will battle for the title at the 27th Players Championship tournament of the season starting at 1 p.m.

The field of participants includes many of the biggest names in darts such as Michael Smith, Peter Wright, Luke Humphries, Dave Chisnall, Jonny Clayton and Rob Cross. Also involved are the two winners of the previous day's action in Gary Anderson and Ryan Joyce.

In their respective first-round ties, Smith faces off against Graham Hall, Wright is up against John O'Shea, Humphries has Josh Payne, Clayton faces Kevin Burness, Chisnall goes against Jamie Clark with Cross facing Jeffrey De Zwaan.

A total of 100,000 pounds in prize money is distributed at each Players Championship tournament. The winner of the event will receive a check for 12,000 pounds.
