Luke Littler successfully defended his title Sunday night at the Belgian Darts Open in Wieze by winning 8-5 in the final over Belgian hope
Mike De Decker. In doing so, he prevented De Decker from becoming the first Belgian ever to win a PDC European Tour title on home soil.
Despite the disappointment, De Decker was able to handle the defeat athletically and provided a remarkable moment afterwards. As Littler was preparing to receive his trophy, the 29-year-old Belgian grabbed a bottle of water and poured it half empty over his opponent's head. In this way, De Decker showed that he had quickly come to terms with his defeat.

Earlier this year, he made darts history by becoming the youngest player ever to win the World Darts Championship. This was followed a few weeks later by a victory at the UK Open, which was already his fifth major title within 12 months.
Moreover, his triumph in Belgium comes just three days after a weekly title in Premier League Darts. It was his second weekly title within five rounds of play for Littler, leaving him second in the rankings behind Luke Humphries.
