Wade eases past Smith to seal semi-final spot in Amsterdam at World Series of Darts Finals

James Wade is the latest player through to the semi-finals at the World Series of Darts Finals after easing past Michael Smith in a 10-5 win.

A clinical display of finishing, Wade will now face Gerwyn Price in the semi-finals this evening as despite not hitting a single 180 still in this tournament, he averaged 92 with a highest checkout of 116 with 52.6% on the doubles.

'The Machine' took out 65 hitting double six to go 2-1 up before hitting an 82 checkout to go 3-1 up surging into further control with a 4-1 lead at the break.

Smith was simply not firing as missed darts at double allowed Wade to go into a 7-3 lead at the next interval. This moved up to 13 missed as Wade hit a 116 checkout to make it 9-3.

Smith tried to get back into the tie sealing successive legs to make it 9-5 but Wade ended the tie with a 110 checkout at 10-5.
