Wade looking to make most of European Championship opportunity: "At the moment I think it's very open"

James Wade is through to a Quarter-Final tie with William O'Connor after edging past Nathan Aspinall 10-8 in a high quality encounter.

Wade is the only former champion left in the field and will look to utilise that when he faces off against 'The Magpie' and he believes there is an opportunity there to go all the way this weekend.

"I think it was a steady performance," said Wade. "I was probably a little bit more nervous than I should have been but I'm happy to win and happy to go further forwards.

"I've got to make the most of the opportunity - at the moment I think it's very open. I'm looking forward to my next game."
