Scott Williams, Brendan Dolan and Luke Woodhouse are the next three names to clinch a spot in the last 32 at the
European Darts Grand Prix in Sindelfingen.
Williams, who sensationally advanced to the semifinals at the last World Championships after defeating Michael van Gerwen, played only his first Euro Tour tournament of the year on Friday. 'Shaggy' needed an average of 88 to easily beat Niko Springer 6-1.
Brendan Dolan advanced one round at the expense of Andrew Gilding at this Euro Tour tournament. The Northern Irishman saw his opponent Andrew Gilding come back to 4-4 after leading 4-1, but then Dolan finished it off with a 100 finish and a 13-darter.
Luke Woodhouse will also return to the second round of the European Darts Grand Prix on Saturday. 'The Shed' won 6-4 over Martin Lukeman in an English clash and that was mainly due to an excellent finishing percentage of 50 percent.
