Lorraine Winstanley has become the latest player to seal a maiden PDC
Women's Series title with multiple rewards for the former World Master as a result.
Winstanley sealed Event Ten surviving multiple match darts to defeat Rhian O'Sullivan in the final in a run which also included wins over Fallon Sherrock with a 92 average and Rhian Griffiths.
It also seals the Buxton thrower her spot at the Women's World Matchplay next month at Blackpool with two events to go until the cut-off with Lisa Ashton confirmed as top seed now with Laura Turner, Katie Sheldon and Jane Densley the final players in the automatic spots.
Trina Gulliver is not in Barnsley so the likes of Rhian O'Sullivan, Robyn Byrne, Mikuru Suzuki, Kirsty Hutchinson and Corrine Hammond will have two more events to book their spot but for Winstanley, it is now confirmed.
The ladies can earn prize money with their results. These results count towards the final ranking.
The two best players can participate in the Grand Slam of Darts and the World Darts Championship. In addition, the top eight players in the rankings after twelve tournaments receive an invitation to the first Women's World Matchplay.
