A World Series of Darts record was broken on the opening night of Dutch Darts Masters action and unsurprisingly so given the amount of PDC invitees who were dumped out at the first hurdle.
Six Dutch players who were not on the PDC invitee side of the draw moved through in Jermaine Wattimena, Maik Kuivenhoven, Vincent van der Voort, Martijn Kleermaker, Danny Noppert and Dirk van Duijvenbode.
This meant that six out of eight PDC players went out with only Dimitri van den Bergh and James Wade moving through.
It breaks the German Darts Masters 2019 record with three of their home hopes in Nico Kurz, Gabriel Clemens and Martin Schindler moving through.
