Wright edges out Cross to claim first win in Premier League

Peter Wright has claimed his first win in the 2020 Premier League Darts as the reigning world champion edged out Rob Cross 7-5 in Cardiff.

It seemed to be an easy win for Snakebite as he cruised into a 3-0 lead with three 13-dart legs and 115 average. Cross averaged 80 at that moment, but suddenly found the trebles and hit a 14-darter and took out 127 to reduce to deficit to 3-2.

In the 11th leg Cross broke Wright's throw again, which gave him the opportunity to throw for a point in the last leg. However Voltage was not out within 15 darts and Wright hit double 5 to get over the line with two points.
