Peter Wright has claimed a 7-4 victory over Daryl Gurney which has confirmed the state of play in terms of Premier League survival on Judgement Night.
Wright missed double 12 for a nine-darter en route to edging past 'Superchin' who has had a revival this week but needs to rely on Glen Durrant for his survival. Rob Cross now has to defeat the league leader in order to escape survival after Gurney's defeat.
It was very much an even game throughout the contest with the duo locked in at 4-4 but from there Wright had a late burst to get over the line.
He held throw to go 5-4 up and when Gurney squandered two darts at double, Wright returned to secure at least a share of the spoils at 6-4.
There was no further resistance from 'Superchin' who was well back in the last leg and Wright cleaned up a 14-darter for a 7-4 victory.
