The tournament can be followed below
Who is and isn't playing this year?
The same can be said in terms of absentees for former leading lights in Beau Greaves, Jimmy van Schie and Wesley Plaisier. All of whom are now PDC Tour Card holders.
Albeit Van Schie and Plaisier did in fact still play the warm-up tournament and have been allowed to play pairs over the course of the weekend with special dispensation by the PDC to do so. This is due to their PDC contract stating they can't play in anything streamed/televised outside the PDC system and the Dutch Open of course is.
Van Schie faced Plaisier and won in the warm-up tournament. A dream final in the men's pairs was also set as Dirk van Duijvenbode and Maik Kuivenhoven
face Jimmy van Schie and Danny van Trijp.
Those who are playing include Jenson Walker, James Beeton, Corne Groeneveld in the men's as top seeds. Andy Baetens is already out losing early. Lerena Rietbergen, Lorraine Hyde, Aileen de Graaf and Priscilla Steenbergen lead the women's draw with a stronger field despite the Women's Series seeing the likes of Sherrock, Greaves, O'Sullivan and others all playing in Germany.
