Durrant announces next move after losing PDC Tour Card, accepts invitation to 2023 World Seniors Darts Championship

Glen Durrant stepped away from professional darts on Monday after losing out in the 2022/23 PDC World Darts Championship Tour Card Holder Qualifier and will not be at Q-School in January.

Durrant took to Twitter to say that he is not retired but is just no longer a professional player and said that 2023 is about 'new adventures' and his next one has been announced as he has been confirmed for the 2023 World Seniors Darts Championship at the Circus Tavern on February 9-12, 2023.

Joining a field full of World Champions, the three-time BDO winner and 2020 Premier League champion is the latest to add his name after accepting an invite with a rallying call to his supporters.

"I'm absolutely over the moon to be invited to the World Seniors Darts Championship," said Durrant. "Come on Teesside massive, we're going to get that Pigbag (walk on song, also made famous by Adrian Lewis) out there again and let's create some new memories."

"The banter has already started with Phil Taylor. I've created some wonderful memories from the PDC to the brilliant BDO days I had but in 2023, more memories can be created as I need a spot filling here (points to table with PL title) and how amazing would that be if it was as the World Seniors Darts Champion. 2023 bring it on."
