The battle for play-off spots in the 2019 Premier League Darts is really heating up.

On Night Eleven, the eight remaining competitors met in Liverpool to take us a step closer to the finishing line. Top spot is set to be taken by Rob Cross at the end of the season. A convincing win over Peter Wright means Voltage remains at the head of the Premier League Darts table.
Cross has 17 points, one more than Michael van Gerwen. The Dutchman kept up the pressure with an 8-3 success against Michael Smith. Next week's meeting between the pair in Cardiff could prove crucial.
Even more interesting is the four-way race for the other two play-off places. James Wade, Gerwyn Price, Mensur Suljovic and Daryl Gurney are all level on 12 points with six games left to go.
Wade claims third spot for the time being, thanks to a draw with Gurney. Sandwiched between the pair are Price and Suljovic, with the former having beaten his Austrian counterpart to leapfrog him into the provisional play-off places. Gurney lies sixth in the table due to an inferior leg difference.
Peter Wright remains in seventh, three points off the top six. Michael Smith remains at the foot of the table thanks to his defeat to van Gerwen. The 2019 PDC World Championship runner-up is a point behind Wright. It means that he is four adrift of the quartet battling it out above them.
Wright and Smith will have to beat Wade and Price respectively in Cardiff next week if they have any hope of keeping their Premier League Darts ambitions alive.
