Anderson punishes missed doubles to ease past Van Duijvenbode, Huybrechts claims back-to-back wins to top current standings

Gary Anderson is up and running in his stint in the PDC Home Tour after winning the opening tie against Dirk van Duijvenbode in a 5-1 win.

Anderson who is only competing due to solving WiFi issues which blighted his ability to be involved earlier on punished 11 missed doubles from the Dutchman to make a winning start.

It is Kim Huybrechts though who currently leads proceedings after claiming back to back wins both again seeing lots of missed doubles.

He began his campaign with a 5-2 win over Dimitri van den Bergh but it was a tie between the World Cup teammates that saw 22 missed darts at doubles in total despite a 96.7 average from The Hurricane.

It was fifteen missed darts at double then from Van Duijvenbode as Huybrechts once again punished to claim a 5-3 victory and double his points haul so far.

Every evening, the four players will each face off; with each match being the best of nine legs. This group stage lasts 32 days with that amount of players set to reach the next round to play it out from there to crown a winner. All players have webcams set up in their houses and say their scores out loud; to make sure that they can be inputted correctly without any cheating taking place.

With each night’s action commencing at 1930 BST, darts commentator Dan Dawson will be on hand to talk through proceedings; which will also include live score graphics on screen.

All PDC Home Tour action will be broadcast live on PDCTV for free to all registered PDCTV users; regardless of whether you have a paid or free membership.

In addition all live-scores can be followed on DartConnect; with match statistics being available after every match.
