August is traditionally the month when most PDC Tour Card holders can take a breather and recharge their batteries toward the most important months of darts season.
Still, not everyone can enjoy their rest, as some top players are expected to be in Down Under for the two World Series tournaments. In addition, some of the PDC's Global Affiliate Tours continue during the month of August, with some tours even coming to an end. Check out the full PDC
calendar for the month of August below.
Aug. 1-3: ADA Tour 5-8
The ADA Tour is in its second of a total of three tournament weekends from August 1 to 3. Raymond Smith did good business on this circuit for Australian and New Zealand darters in late June by winning all of the first four tournaments.
A World Cup spot can be earned on this newly established tour. So, with eight tournaments to go, Smith is in a good position to qualify for the World Championships.
Aug. 1-3: CDC Tour 8-10
American darters get to play twice this month, starting August 1 through 3 in Brownsburg, in the U.S. state of Indiana. There, the fourth tournament weekend of the season will be played.
The highest ranked American and the highest ranked Canadian on the CDC Tour Order of Merit will qualify for the World Darts Championship. In addition, the highest ranked player who has not yet qualified will also receive a starting ticket to Ally Pally.
After seven of the 16 tournaments, Adam Sevada has the best papers to go to the World Darts Championship. The American already managed to win four tournaments, while Stowe Buntz (two titles) and Leonard Gates (one title) won the others. For now, David Cameron is the highest-ranked Canadian.
August 2-3: Asian Tour 21-24
On Aug. 2-3, Asian darters are expected in Manila, Philippines, for the penultimate tournament weekend of the PDC Asian Tour. So far, 20 of the 28 tournaments have been played, and tournaments 21 through 24 will take place this weekend.
The top five on the PDC Asian Tour Order of Merit qualify for the Darts World Cup. For now, Motomu Sakai, Alexis Toylo, Paul Lim, Man Lok Leung and Ryusei Azemoto are on the right side of the line, while darters such as Paolo Nebrida and Lourence Ilagan are among the chasing group.
Will we see Paul Lim back at the World Darts Championship in December?
Aug. 2-3: Nordic & Baltic Tour 11-12
The Nordic & Baltic Tour comes to an end on August 2-3. The circuit consists of twelve tournaments, the last two of which will be played in Oslo, Norway. The top two players qualify for the World Darts Championship, with Andreas Harrysson having already secured a World Cup ticket.
Oskar Lukasiak
lies in pole position to take second place, but he must try to keep behind Marko Kantele, Teemu Harju, Valters Melderis and Darius Labanauskas, among others, during the final weekend.
August 8-9: Australian Darts Masters
For the fourth consecutive year, a World Series tournament will be played in the Australian city of Wollongong. First this tournament was still called the South Wales Darts Masters, but it has been going through life as the Australian Darts Masters since last year.
Eight PDC top players will take on eight local darters from Oceania on August 8-9. In action on behalf of the PDC will be Stephen Bunting, Gerwyn Price, Luke Humphries, Luke Littler, Chris Dobey, Damon Heta, Josh Rock and Mike de Decker. On behalf of the local representation, we get to see Haupai Puha and Australian darts legend Simon Whitlock, among others.
Aug. 15-16: New Zealand Darts Masters
The trip to Down Under concludes with the New Zealand Darts Masters on Aug. 15-16 in Auckland. It is a new venue for this tournament, having been finished in Hamilton in recent years. However, it is not the first time the World Series has stopped by in Auckland, as the Auckland Darts Masters was held there annually from 2015 to 2018.
The eight PDC toppers who will be in action in Australia will also make the trip to New Zealand. Completing the 16-member field of participants are eight darters from Australia and New Zealand.
Aug. 15-17: Challenge Tour 16-20
The best darters without a PDC Tour Card get to play again in mid-August. The fourth tournament weekend of the PDC Challenge Tour 2025 will be played in Leicester. Through this tour the necessary prizes can be earned.
The top three on the Challenge Tour Order of Merit receive an invitation to participate in the Darts World Cup, while the number one and two also receive a PDC Tour Card for the next two seasons. Currently, the rankings are led by Darius Labanauskas, with Stefan Bellmont in his wake. In third place is Ted Evetts, while Mervyn King and Beau Greaves complete the current top five.
Aug. 16-17: Japan Tour 1-4
The Japan Tour is the circuit set up for Japanese darters by the PDC since 2024. The new year's circuit will start on Aug. 16-17. Then the first four of a total of 12 tournaments will be played.
The top 32 players on the Japan Tour Order of Merit after 12 tournaments may compete in the Japan Tour Finals. At the final tournament, one starting spot for the World Darts Championship can be earned.
Aug. 22-24: CDC Tour 11-13
The next stop on the CDC Tour is in Oakbrook Terrace, in the state of Illinois. There, the penultimate tournament weekend of the CDC season will be completed. Who can put themselves in a good position toward qualifying for the World Darts Championship?
Aug. 22-23: China Pro Tour 7-10
The China Pro Tour season comes to an end on Aug. 22-23. For now, six of the 10 tournaments have been played, with Yuanjun Liu and Xiaochen Zong both winning two titles.
The other two tournaments were won by Tong Xu and Qingyu Zhan. The sixteen best players on the China Pro Tour Order of Merit qualified for the China Championship. A World Cup ticket is waiting for the winner of this tournament.
Aug. 23-24: Women's Series 17-20
The ladies are up for the next tournament weekend of the PDC
Women's Series on August 23-24, which also kicks off the qualifying race for the 2026 Women's World Matchplay.
This Women's Series weekend is the penultimate of the season. Lisa Ashton recently already secured participation in the Grand Slam of Darts and the
PDC World Darts Championship by surprisingly winning the Women's World Matchplay 2025, but via the rankings, three World Cup spots and one Grand Slam spot are also still up for grabs.
Beau Greaves can hardly escape first place on the Women's Series Order of Merit. After 16 of 24 tournaments, she leads the standings with 21,600 pounds of prize money. Fallon Sherrock is the first chaser with 9500 pounds.
Is Beau Greaves recovering after her surprising defeat at the Women's World Matchplay against Lisa Ashton?
Aug. 23-24: DPNZ Pro Tour 9-10
Darters from New Zealand will make their appearance at the next tournament weekend of the DPNZ Pro Tour on August 23-24. This circuit consists of 12 tournaments spread over six weekends.
Auckland is the fifth stop on this circuit. After eight of the 12 tournaments, Jonny Tata has the best papers for now to qualify for the World Darts Championship. Thanks to winning two tournaments, Tata stands at 96 points. However, his lead over rival Mark Cleaver is small, with only a difference of four points. Behind them, John Hurring (88 points) and Ben Robb (84 points) are also still in the race for the first spot.
Aug. 25-26: Players Championship 24-25
After several weeks of rest, Tour Card holders are expected in Milton Keynes on August 25-26 for the continuation of the Players Championship circuit. This also marks the start of the busy autumn season, in which the Pro Tours, Euro Tours and television tournaments follow each other in rapid succession.
Playing the Players Championship tournaments is the only route for darters to force placement for the Players Championship Finals. The top-64 of the Players Championship Order of Merit after 34 tournaments may compete.
Aug. 27: World Series of Darts Finals Tour Card Holder Qualifier
We will stay in Milton Keynes for a while, because a day after the Pro Tour doubleheader, a qualifying tournament for the World Series Finals is scheduled. Here eight spots are up for grabs for Tour Card holders.
The eight winners will join the field of participants for the World Series Finals, which consists of a total of 32 players. The remaining 24 spots will be distributed through the World Series Order of Merit and world rankings.
Aug. 29-31: Flanders Darts Trophy (ET10)
In the last weekend of August, there will be a fight for the title at the Flanders Darts Trophy in Antwerp. It is for the second time that this Belgian Euro Tour tournament is on the program. Last year was the first edition, with Dave Chisnall winning the title at the expense of Ricardo Pietreczko.
The field of participants at the Euro Tour tournaments is made up of 48 players. The top-16 of the world ranking list and the top-16 of the Pro Tour ranking will receive an invitation. They will be joined by sixteen winners from the various qualifying tournaments.
The good news for Belgian fans is that the complete world top has signed up for the Flanders Darts Trophy. That means that - subject to subsequent cancellations - Luke Littler, Luke Humphries, Michael van Gerwen, Gerwyn Price, Josh Rock and Gary Anderson, among others, will be on display at the Antwerp Expo.
Dave Chisnall is the defending champion at the Flanders Darts Trophy
Aug. 30-31: DPA Tour 16-18
James Bailey is number two in the standings with 140 points, followed by Brody Klinge with 136 points. Both players will have to score extremely well during the final weekend to still overtake Comito.
