Cullen produces stunning clean sweep to win PDC Home Tour Group 31
Joe Cullen has seized his second chance with a stunning series in the penultimate PDC Home Tour group of the first phase of the competition.
Cullen is through in a clean sweep with three averages over 105+ dropping only five legs in the process throughout the night.
He began the evening with a clinical display seeing off Keegan Brown 5-2 with a 106.2 average which also saw 5/7 on the doubles as he sent out an early message.
'The Rockstar' followed that up with a stunning performance where he averaged 107.6 to edge past Gerwyn Price 5-3 who himself averaged 103.3 but came up short. It was a tie as well that featured seven 180's from the duo.
The Bradford ace continued that form into his last year whitewashing Bradley Brooks 5-0 with a 105.8 average and five 180's which saw him top the group before the final match was played.
Every evening, the four players will each face off; with each match being the best of nine legs. This group stage lasts 32 days with that amount of players set to reach the next round to play it out from there to crown a winner. All players have webcams set up in their houses and say their scores out loud; to make sure that they can be inputted correctly without any cheating taking place.
With each night’s action commencing at 1930 BST, darts commentator Dan Dawson will be on hand to talk through proceedings; which will also include live score graphics on screen.
