Mike de Decker is through to the second round of the 2021/22 PDC
World Darts Championship after defying a nine-dart finish from Darius Labanauskas.
De Decker will now face Dave Chisnall after coming back from Labanauskas hitting perfection to claim the opening set.
En route, he hit an 89 average, three 180's and 42% on the doubles as he slayed the Lithuanian ace.
Labanauskas pinned double one for the opening leg and he led proceedings going one away from the opening set.
It was a set he claimed with the aforementioned incredible nine-dart finish as he sent the Ally Pally crowd into raptures for the second time in two days.
But on return, De Decker held the impetus with a break of throw to make it 2-0 before sealing the set.
A 116 checkout saw Labanuaskas go one away from a two sets lead. An 84 checkout saw De Decker level up at 2-2 and it went to a decider.
A 47 checkout saw De Decker go one set away where he had the throw.
A 42 checkout saw De Decker hold as he went two away and he broke from there to go one away from victory. He hit double 10 from there to secure his spot in the next round.
