De Sousa set sights on Premier League finals night after Clayton win: "I start to dream of the play-offs"

Jose de Sousa sits third in the Premier League Darts table after making it three wins in a row by seeing off Jonny Clayton 8-5.

De Sousa now sits likely only one point away from making the play-offs with a draw likely to secure it but this victory has seen him take a big step and now 'The Special One' is dreaming of finals night.

"At this point, two points is really really good. We are almost finished the last season so two points here it's really good. Right now, with these two points, I start to dream of the play-offs," said De Sousa post match.

"I was on my sofa and see these guys many years and now I'm here with all these guys and I'm in the Premier League. I think it's the best championship in the world as you only have 10 best players in the world play here."

But with Michael van Gerwen and Nathan Aspinall left for him, the dream of topping the table while not out of the realms of possibility isn't at the forefront of his mind.

"I think it's impossible for me but everything is possible. I think I have chances for another win and if I have a draw, it's good for me."
