"Every time we play it’s always a good game'' - Fallon Sherrock looks forward to clash with Michael van Gerwen at Grand Slam of Darts

One of the interesting matchups Saturday night at the Grand Slam of Darts is the meeting between Michael van Gerwen and Fallon Sherrock. They are joined by Rob Cross and Martijn Kleermaker in Group G.

It will be the second meeting on the TV stage between Van Gerwen and Sherrock. They previously met in the final of the Nordic Darts Masters. In that match, Sherrock led 6-3, but the victory eventually went to the Dutchman 11-7.

The 29-year-old Englishwoman is looking forward to the next showdown with Van Gerwen. ''Every time I play Michael it’s always a good game, whether it’s an exhibition or in a big TV event," she says to the PDC's official website. “I want to play the best players in the world, because you’re only going to get better by playing the better players."

Sherrock showed she's in strong form by winning four tournaments in a row towards the end of the PDC Women's Series. ''The way I performed towards the end of the Women’s Series this year, and hitting the nine-darter on the Challenge Tour has given me a lot of confidence. I am going into these big stage events expecting to play well now, rather than hoping to play well. I am really excited!”
