The 2024 UK Open has begun with victories early doors for Scott Mitchell as well as Wesley Plaisier, Dom Taylor, Bradley Brooks, Wesley Plaisier and Ron Meulenkamp.
Plaisier opened Stage Two action and narrowly edged out Connor Scutt 6-5. While for Mitchell on Stage Three, he taught the youngster Leighton Bennett a lesson. 'Boom Boom' spent most of the match giving it large and Mitchell finished 96 to win it 6-4 to silence the frenetic former youth prodigy in his tracks.

Other victors include Tim Wolters on his full Tour Card debut. He saw off Ashley Coleman. A YouTube sensation and a real dangerous player 6-3. Other wins included Bradley Brooks taking down Cam Crabtree 6-3, Ron Meulenkamp eased past Rusty-Jake Rodriguez 6-1 as well.
Lukas Wenig, Christian Kist, Radek Szaganski and Darryl Pilgrim are all also out early doors as the Main Stage action begins there are no short of stories elsewhere.
