"How I won that night will be a mystery to everyone" - Durrant reflects on Premier League success but doesn't believe it was his finest PDC moment

Glen Durrant won the 2020 Premier League Darts by beating Nathan Aspinall 11-8 in the final. Three years later, he has looked back on his on major PDC victory with Sky Sports.

"I knew something was wrong with my game that night," Durrant opens. "I had an 87 average to beat Gary Anderson if you remember. He'd decided to use these darts that had arrived that morning. If he'd have just thrown normal he'd have had me, for the first time in my life, when I walked on that stage I couldn't feel my arms and legs!"

Still, 'Duzza' managed to win in the end. "The thought of £275,000 was just too much and I knew, something's going wrong with my game. How I won that night will be a mystery to everyone. The Premier League, for the only time in my life it was about the money, life changing money."

Nevertheless, Durrant does not consider this his finest victory in the PDC. "By far the best moment in the PDC was beating van Gerwen in Blackpool, (Durrant won 13-11 in World Matchplay 2nd round). There's a great shot of me with my towel and I was thinking this guy with no talent has just beaten the second best player ever."
