The
New Zealand Darts Masters is due to take place between 15-16 August 2025 at the Spark Arena in Auckland with the sports' top names heading onto the second part of the World Series tour and the last event before the Finals later this year in Amsterdam.
Luke Humphries heads into Auckland as the defending champion having sealed the title last year and it is the fifth staging of the tournament and the seventh event on the World Series of Darts calendar. It is the same line-up at least on the elite eight as in Wollongong. Headed by Luke Humphries,
Luke Littler and
Gerwyn Price. Damon Heta is also a forerunner on his return back to Australia in particular as well as New Zealand.
Mike de Decker and Josh Rock also make their debuts. De Decker reached the final of the Australian Darts Masters on his debut. While it is a mix of returning names and also those who did not compete in Australia. Simon Whitlock was invited by right. He is joined by Haupai Puha who of course is a PDC Tour Card holder.
'Hopes' pushed Luke Littler all the way during his defeat in Wollongong. While Jonny Tata pushed Luke Humphries and will also return. Mark Cleaver, John Hurring, Dean Reyland as well as familiar faces in Ben Robb and Gordon Mathers also return to the big stage.
The big change comes in that it is slightly different to the week before. In Australia, the action started at around 10am BST but this time around it is earlier with an 8am start time (9am CET). This means that by the time the session finishes it will be around midday in the UK. It will be shown on delay as ever in the UK on ITV4. 7pm on Friday for the first round and 5pm on Saturday for the remaining matches.
It will be shown live though for UK viewers on PDCTV which requires a subscription. Worldwide, it is shown on DAZN in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. For those elsewhere, it is on PDCTV. In the US, while they have struck a deal with Peacock to showcase the Premier League Darts Play-Offs, World Matchplay, World Grand Prix, Grand Slam of Darts, and World Darts Championship. But while it was the case for the US Darts Masters, it is not for these tournaments.
Australia will see the tournament shown on Fox Sports for those wanting to catch Heta and Whitlock, while in New Zealand it is shown on Sky. Nova show the tournaments in Czech Republic and Slovakia, Prago Sport in Hungary and VTM in Belgium will also show proceedings.
