American influencer and boxer Jake Paul, who has shared the ring with the likes of Mike Tyson and Anthony Joshua, has once again stirred debate, this time in the world of darts, after claiming he could take on former world champion
Gerwyn Price and even humiliate him at the oche.
New challenge
Paul, nicknamed ‘The Problem Child’, is known for his outspoken views and provocative statements. This time he went a step further, moving from talk of a potential boxing clash with Price to suggesting he could also make an impact in darts. “Yeah I wouldn’t want to embarrass him, but I’m thinking of coming in and just taking over the game… I’m a hunter and I have perfect aim,” Paul said in conversation with Sky Sports.
It is not the first time the American has inserted himself into elite sport outside his own discipline. Paul initially rose to global fame through YouTube before transitioning into boxing, where he has fought several high profile names and established himself as a serious, albeit controversial, figure.
Previous exchange adds context
Paul’s comments are not coming out of nowhere. He has previously floated the idea of a crossover clash with Gerwyn Price, which prompted a firm response from the former world champion. “He’s a YouTuber, not a fighter, right?”
Price said at the time, dismissing the suggestion outright.
Price also revealed that Paul later contacted him privately following those remarks, adding another layer to their brief exchange.
That history provides some context, but Paul’s latest suggestion that he could step into darts and “take over” moves the conversation in a different direction.

Comments spark reaction
For now, there is no indication that anything concrete will come from Paul’s remarks.
As with many of his previous callouts, the comments are far more likely to generate attention and reaction than lead to any serious crossover into the sport.
