Gerwyn Price came back from a set down to open up his PDC World Darts Championship campaign with victory over Luke Woodhouse.
Price wasn't at his best but pulled out some big finishes at the right time including a superb 150 checkout and he said it's something he'd rather not rely on.
"When my back's against the wall and I need to have those big moments but I'd rather not put myself in those positions all time when I'm having to hit big checkouts or bull finishes where I slip up and hit the treble five, there's some positives to come out of it but a lot negatives from today but the first of all was just to win the game, come back after Christmas and I'm sure I'll be 100% better," he said post match.
He also touched on the crowd abuse which as ever is a big part of a Price match.
"It always affects me it's tough. Even today the first set I lose and the crowd gets on your back, I try not to react like I have in previous years and contain myself and keep myself composed until I won the second set and I let myself go.
"When the crowd are on your back, it's extra difficult. I try not to react like I have done. The majority of the fans and players in this tournament are English so you're going to get it, it's just how well you can deal with it."
