Chris Landman's run to the final of
Players Championship 9 has seen him become the sixteenth Dutchman to reach a final at a Pro Tour event, with eleven of his fellow countrymen having been successful.
Unsurprisingly, Michael van Gerwen leads the way for most Pro Tour finals with a grand total of 110 to his name with 85 wins. Raymond van Barneveld has reached 27 finals with 17 title successes with Vincent van der Voort the only other Dutchman to have reached double figures with 10 finals and 5 Players Championship victories.
Dirk van Duijvenbode, having won two Pro Tour titles already this year is next on the list. Benito van de Pas, Jelle Klaasen and Roland Scholten all reached 8 Players Championship finals, Jeffrey de Zwaan and Danny Noppert have 5 finals to their name with Jermaine Wattimena the only other Dutchman to have reached the final of multiple Players Championship events.
Of the six Dutchmen to have reached a single Pro Tour final only Danny Jansen and Co Stompe were successful with Landman joining the likes of Christian Kist, Martijn Kleermaker and Gian van Veen as losing finalists.
Landman enjoyed victories over players such as Luke Humphries and Martin Schindler en route to the final of Players Championship 9 but sadly for 'the Countryman', Krzysztof Ratajski proved to have too much and emerged an 8-1 winner, claiming the title.
