Dirk van Duijvenbode continued his impressive run of form on the Pro Tour this year by recording the two highest averages of the day on Saturday at
Players Championship 9.
Van Duijvenbode came through 6-4 in a scrappy first round tie with Ross 'the Boss' Montgomery. It was in the second round however, where the Dutchman really began playing top quality darts. Averaging 112.73, the highest of the day, van Duijvenbode dismanted Daniel Klose 6-0.
The 30-year-old continued at a high standard into round three, averaging 111.33 with it being Josh Payne's turn to get a whitewashing. A resurgent Gary Anderson would prove too much for the Aubergenius in the last 16 but with two Players Championship wins under his best already this year, van Duijvenbode continues to impress.
