Steve Lennon is successfully through to the second round at the 2020/21
PDC World Darts Championship after a superb display against Daniel Larsson.
Lennon won through in a 3-1 sets win with a 97 average and four 180's as well as a ten darter in the final set and a high checkout of 130.
He began the match well with that aforementioned brilliant 130 checkout en route to a 3-1 set win with a 93.2 average.
Larsson had his turn pinning a ton plus checkout in the form of a 108 but despite that, Lennon claimed the second set once again relatively comfortable 3-1 to make it a 2-0 lead as he increased his average to 96 with 46% on the doubles.
Lennon's attempts to surge towards a straight sets win were thwarted initially as a 129 checkout on the bull from Larsson saw him claim the first leg of the third set and break throw.
This proved a catalyst as he claimed the third set to make it interesting at 2-1. But this proved a mere consolation as Lennon turned on the style with a 10 darter en route to a clean sweep to win the tie 3-1.
