Luke Humphries continues to underline his impressive consistency both on the floor and across the European stage. With
his recent title at the Belgian Darts Open, he has sharpened a notable statistic even further: it is now the fourth different season in which he has managed to win both a Players Championship and a
European Tour event.
Winning run began in 2022
That sequence began in 2022, a year in which Humphries immediately made his mark with multiple successes on the European Tour, complemented by a title in the Players Championship cycle. That year, Humphries won no fewer than four European Tour events (German Darts Grand Prix, European Matchplay, European Grand Prix, and Czech Open) combined with one tournament win on the Players Championship.
In 2023, he confirmed his breakthrough by winning two floor events and also securing a title on the European circuit at the European Matchplay. A year later, in 2024, he maintained his consistent level with more victories on both circuits. That year, Humphries won one Players Championship and also triumphed at the German Darts Grand Prix and the Czech Open).
In 2026, Humphries again shows that his performances are no coincidence. Earlier this year he already won a Players Championship, and last weekend he claimed the Belgian Darts Open by defeating Jonny Clayton 8-6 in the final.

Important distinction
By striking again both on the floor and on the European Tour, he proves he can adapt effortlessly to different conditions. That distinction matters, because the Players Championships are played behind closed doors and demand pure focus, while the European Tour takes place in packed arenas where atmosphere and pressure play a major role.
The ability to excel in both settings makes
Humphries one of the most complete players of the moment. His consistent performances over multiple seasons demonstrate not only his class but also his mental resilience. As a result, he remains a constant factor in the hunt for titles and a name to be reckoned with on any stage he steps onto.
