Target Darts has gone intergalactic. One of the sport's leading manufacturers, Target has announced a ground-breaking new partnership with Disney to launch a Star Wars-inspired range of limited-edition products, marking one of the more unexpected crossovers the sport has ever seen.
The collaboration, confirmed on Thursday, will see Target combine its engineering of darts and darting equipment with the storytelling power of one of cinema’s most beloved franchises. Across the collaboration, fans can expect exclusive darts, dartboards, and accessories celebrating legendary characters such as Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader.
“This partnership with Disney Consumer Products is truly a game-changer, not just for darts, but for how sport and storytelling can come together,” said Target Darts Group CEO James Tattersall in a press release. “Star Wars is more than entertainment — it’s a cultural force that’s inspired generations. Just like darts, it brings people together through shared passion, excitement, and imagination.”

Creative Director James Butcher said the collaboration was a natural extension of Target’s vision. “We’ve been telling stories through our products for years at Target,” he explained. “Bringing Star Wars assets into that way of thinking was a natural fit. The product we’ve created is pure Target and pure Star Wars.”

Full product details will be revealed on October 28, but the initial announcement confirms a mix of themed darts, boards, and accessories aimed at both darts players and Star Wars fans.
For the sport of darts, which has been growing in international profile in recent years, the partnership represents an intersection between sport and popular culture rather than a direct shift in competitive play.
If nothing else, the sight of the likes of Luke Littler launching a “Lightsaber” barrel at the board perfectly captures the shift darts has undergone in recent years, emerging as one of the most commercially appealing sports in the galaxy. Both this one, and apparently, in a galaxy far, far away.
