Mike de Decker may still compete in Euro Tour tournament in Antwerp due to withdrawals

Following Dimitri van den Bergh, Mike de Decker may also make his appearance in front of his own crowd at the Flanders Darts Trophy in Antwerp from Sept. 6 to 8.

Van den Bergh was automatically qualified for the Euro Tour tournament in his home country because of his position in the world ranking list. There were no Belgian participants in the Tour Card-qualifying tournament for the Flanders Darts Trophy.

De Decker lost 6-5 to Robert Owen in the final round of the qualifying tournament. Because "The Real Deal" was the highest player not to qualify in the final round, he did make the first reserve for the Flanders Darts Trophy.

Belgian media site Het Nieuwsblad reports, based on sources within the PDC, that a number of cancellations have already come in, allowing De Decker to still compete in the tenth Euro Tour tournament of the season. However, it is not yet known which players have opted out. Behind De Decker, Scott Williams, Mickey Mansell, Karel Sedlacek and Matt Campbell, respectively, are on the reserve list. It is possible that one or more of these players could still advance.

A total of six Belgians will make their appearance at the Flanders Darts Trophy. On Thursday, September 5, there are still four starting spots up for grabs for Belgian players without a Tour Card in the Host Nation Qualifier.
