Mikuru Suzuki managed to be the only lady to produce an average above 100 last weekend. During the 11th tournament of the PDC Women's Series, the Japanese player threw an average of 103.66 in her match against Mozhgan Rahmani of Iran.
This average was also the only time Suzuki managed to throw an average above ninety at all during four tournaments. She did manage to reach the final at the first tournament of the weekend (Women's Series 9), but lost that final to Beau Greaves. The 20-year-old Englishwoman captured only one title last weekend, but was by far the most consistent player. Of the 15 highest averages last weekend, eight came in Greaves' name. Her best averages last weekend were 98.56 and 96.97, thrown during Women's Series 10. At that tournament Greaves lost to Rhian O'Sullivan in the quarterfinals.
Interestingly, Lisa Ashton managed to win two of the four titles, but 'The Lancashire Rose' did not have to throw above a ninety average a single time. Ashton's highest average of the weekend was 89.39, yet she returned home with 4,000 pounds of prize money.
The other players in the list of top-15 highest averages during PDC Women's Series 9-12 are Vicky Plum (93.94), Wendy Reinstadtler (93.94), Fallon Sherrock (92.49) and Aileen de Graaf (twice 89.73).
The highest average of the Women's Series season is credited to Greaves, who produced a 101.90 moyenne during the first tournament of the year. Noa-Lynn van Leuven also managed to throw an average above 100 at 100.99.
