Recently after becoming the first darter to reach £2 million earned in prize money,
Luke Littler has the potential to be the first to achieve £3 million in the space of just 54 days.
The 18-year-old recently doubled his world title tally at the PDC World Darts Championship, thrashing Gian van Veen 7-1 to take home the prestigious title alongside a huge £1 million prize pot.
This has cemented his position as world number one for the foreseeable future, with his impeccable form not looking like it will falter.
How can Littler reach the unprecedented £3 million mark
The Nuke is currently sitting on £2,770,500 in the
PDC Live Order of Merit. He will not be able to add any money to this in the upcoming World Series of Darts events due to them being non-ranking events. Littler is set to return to action from January 15-16 at the Bahrain Darts Masters before leading a stacked field into the inaugural Saudi Darts Masters a few days later.
After them, he will have his eyes firmly on the Winmau World Masters from January 29 - February 1. It is one of the only major events he has not won, giving him that added motivation to take the crown in Milton Keynes. The winning prize is £100,000 for the historic title.
Following that will be a brace of Players Championship events in Wigan on February 16/17. While
Littler mostly skips these floor events, he has appeared at the first two of the year in his prior two season on the PDC Tour. £15k for the winner will be handed out, in total up to £30k for a couple of titles before the 2026 European Tour commences from February 22 in the Poland Open. Another 35k could be won here.
His defence of the UK Open crown is the most lucrative at the start of the 2026 season. He took home the title last year in a 11-2 routing of James Wade. If he goes into it winning all the ranking titles on offer, he would boast £2,935,500, not including the £34.5k which will come off his ranking. This would mean that the £120,000 winners check would be enough for Littler to go over the £3 million threshold, creating even more history.
On taking that latest record, Littler spoke about this tantalising objective which could possibly be complete in less than two months. “Obviously it could be fairly soon, I’ve got to keep playing well and keep adding the prize money to my rankings," he said. “I just want to stay at No.1 as long as possible. Try to get to that £3million and increase that gap between me and Luke.”

On winning the million at the Ally Pally, he said: “It is life-changing. Even for this tournament, the first round was doubled. This win has increased that gap from Luke Humphries and I’m in the clear for No.1.”
