Luke Littler will lead the field, but he does not lead the Order of Merit, with Michael van Gerwen, the champion in Bahrain, leading. This is despite Littler winning the second event in Saudi Arabia earlier this season. But Van Gerwen lost in the final 8-5, so he remained on top.
Luke Humphries will be involved as the third big name. He is joined by Gian van Veen, who, as a result of his World final run, as expected, takes his full spot on the World Series of Darts calendar for 2026. It is mostly Premier League players aside from the leading quartet.
Jonny Clayton, who has been in and out of World Series line-ups, impressed on his return to the Premier League before losing in the semi-finals, and he will also return to contention in the World Series. At the same time, Gerwyn Price and Stephen Bunting also play in Copenhagen. Price reached the semi-finals of the Premier League, losing to Luke Littler, while Bunting's campaign was a bit more abject. He was criticised at junctures for his involvement, and although he won a night, it was late on in the tournament when it didn't really matter a great deal.
The only non-Premier League star in the line-up is, in fact, James Wade, who has been given the reward of a World Series return after he missed out on the Premier League line-up, which was a hot talking point at the time, and often a makeweight is in fact the other darting roadshow.
Stephen Bunting, though, is the defending champion in Copenhagen, defeating Rob Cross 8-4 in the 2025 final, and while Bunting will return, Cross will not in 2026.

How much is on offer for winning Nordic Darts Masters?

Josh Rock is the only Premier League star who will not make the trip over to Copenhagen and has been left out of the line-up with Wade replacing him. Others involved in Denmark are Nordic and Baltic stars with Madars Razma, Jeffrey de Graaf, Cor Dekker, Oskar Lukasiak, Viktor Tingstrom and Darius Labanauskas all invited.
Such is the strength and depth now of Nordic and Baltic darts is that apart from two they are all now Tour Card holders with Andreas Harrysson who just missed out at Q-School this year and Daniel Larsson the only two to qualify instead through the rankings as opposed to being on the tour.
While the Prize Money for the World Series of Darts Finals has increased from £400,000 to £450,000 for this next season, this is not the case for the main events in the year. The winner will claim £30,000 for sealing the title, while it will be £16,000 for the runner-up. Semi-finalists receive £10,000. While Quarter-Finals also known as the second round is £5,000.

First round losers receive £1,750. Order of Merit points wise, these go towards the World Series of Darts Finals which will take place in Amsterdam in November. Unlike Saudi Arabia which had the nine-dart bonus and also the Riyadh Season Bullseye, the further events do not have that.
The World Series will then move on post Copenhagen to the US Darts Masters in New York with the World Cup in football on at the same time in the States giving fans a real summer of sport.
