The second round lineup at the
Baltic Sea Darts Open iis now complete after
Ritchie Edhouse,
Mike De Decker and
Wessel Nijman became the final three names to secure progression on Friday evening.
Edhouse has been one of the stars of the
European Tour in recent weeks and the Englishman was incredibly impressive one again in a 6-2 win over Nathan Aspinall. Averaging 106.46 with four 180s, two ton-plus checkouts and 60% on the doubles it was an excellent display for Edhouse, who takes on Jonny Clayton in round 2.
Mike De Decker will also be in action on Saturday against Krzysztof Ratajski after the Belgian ended Martin Schindler's hopes of more European Tour glory with a 6-3 win. The scoring of both was relatively evenly matched however it De Decker's proficiency out the on outer ring that was key to him securing progression to round 2.
In the final game of the evening,
Luke Littler was far from his best and when Wessel Nijman pinned double 8 for a 16-dart break of the Premier League leader's throw in leg 7, the Dutchman moved 4-3 in front. Averaging only 83.98, Littler just simply didn't have the quality to fight back either with Nijman running out a relatively comfortable 6-3 winner in the end.
