The Friday evening session is underway at the
Baltic Sea Darts Open with
Madars Razma,
Gian van Veen and
Daryl Gurney all progressing.
Razma is also one of the players who reached the second round of this PDC
European Tour tournament after the Latvian stunned Chris Dobey in a deciding leg. Although 'Hollywood' had a five-point better average, it was Razma's accuracy on the doubles that tipped the scales in the end.
Even though Kevin Troppmann was unable to follow in the footsteps of Franz Roetzsch and Moritz Hilgert at the Baltic Sea Darts Open, the German gave Gian van Veen a 6-4 victory that was anything but a gift.
A 121 finish from van Veen proved the key moment in leg 11 and gave the Dutchman the lead after Troppmann was already on a double but missed it, with van Veen wrapping up the win in the following leg.
Also through is multiple-time major winner, Daryl Gurney who saw off the challenge of Dimitri van den Bergh in the opening round, 6-3.
