PDC Order of Merit: Luke Littler rises above Gary Anderson, Peter Wright returns to top-10

Peter Wright has returned to the top-10 of the world rankings after his final victory at the 2024 German Darts Championship. 'Snakebite' moved up two places, forcing Ross Smith and Dimitri van den Bergh down one spot.

Wright won the European Tour tournament in Hildesheim by beating Michael van Gerwen (6-4), Dave Chisnall (7-5) and Luke Littler (8-5), among others. It earned him the top prize of 25,000 pounds. After the World Matchplay in July, the Scot had fallen out of the top-10 in the world rankings for the first time since 2014, but barely a month later, Wright has thus regained that position.

Stephen Bunting and Danny Noppert both managed to move up one spot, which means they are now fourteenth and fifteenth, respectively, on the PDC Order of Merit. That came at the expense of Joe Cullen, who had to drop two places.

Luke Littler has moved up to 22nd place after his final place finish at the German Darts Championship. 'The Nuke' passed darts legend Gary Anderson. Littler already earned 343,000 pounds in ranking prize money this year, while it took Gary Anderson 24 months to rack up 338,500 pounds. So for the next 15 months, Littler has nothing to defend either, which means a the 17-year-old Englishman can really only go up.

Callan Rydz swapped places with Madars Razma and is now ranked No. 38 in the world. Ritchie Edhouse gained three places and now occupies 43rd place. Nick Kenny also did good business with his quarterfinal finish at the German Darts Championship. It earned him a four-place gain, which now puts him 75th in the world rankings.
