In the run-up to the resumption of the Premier League Darts 2020 on August 25, Dartsnews looks back on the performances per player in the first six weeks of the competition. This time, Rob Cross is in the spotlight.
After a great start, things have gone downhill for Rob Cross in this edition of the
Premier League Darts. He has claimed five points from six games but has to be careful not to be relegated from the competition after nine rounds of play.
'Voltage' started the competition with a draw against
Gerwyn Price and a narrow victory over
Nathan Aspinall but from there, he suffered poor defeats to
Peter Wright and
Gary Anderson; in both games he did not go past low nineties average wise.
The World Number Five also remained without a win in the last two matches before the break. He got a point against
Daryl Gurney and 'challenger'
Stephen Bunting but it won't get easier as he takes on
Michael van Gerwen,
Michael Smith and league leader
Glen Durrant in his next three matches.
