Presenter of darts broadcasts on Viaplay quits

From now on, Annemarie Fokkens will no longer be seen as a regular presenter at the darts broadcasts on Viaplay. The World Series Finals in Amsterdam was her last tournament.

Around these broadcasts, she was already no longer seen as a presenter, but went into the audience with former darter Co Stompé for various mood reports. On Instagram, Fokkens explains why she is stopping as a regular presenter.

''Almost 2 years ago I started an adventure where I had no idea what it would bring me. The world of Darts as a presenter was completely new to me but I do like a challenge so I went full steam ahead. The feeling began to creep up on me that I was out of place. Working on the same subject day in and day out doesn't suit me. A job where you spend so much of your life should feel like a second skin,'' Fokkens began her explanation.

''Call it reflection, getting older, seize the day or you only live once; time is precious so it has to be really fun. I probably won't disappear completely from Viaplay but I will broaden my horizon and not sit in the studio chair every week. Looking for everything life still has to offer me.''

Viaplay still has plenty of presenters for the darts broadcasts. Koert Westerman is a regular presenter, while Bart Nolles and Jacques Nieuwlaat have also presented broadcasts in the past.
