Gerwyn Price was unable to defend his
World Series of Darts Finals title over the weekend. After lifting the trophy last year, the Welshman fell at the first hurdle this time around against
Keegan Brown.
Despite losing 6-4 to Brown, there wasn't much Price did wrong. Averaging 100.50, over eight points more than his opponent, Price was undone by some tremendous finishing by Brown. Afterwards, 'the Iceman' took to his Instagram account to express his feelings on the encounter.
"Wow, sometimes you have to take a result on the chin. I have a few of them to take it on," Price reflects on his Instagram story. "Well done Keegan, some good checkouts."
With big events coming thick and fast at this busy time of year, Price is keen to quickly rebound and not lose focus. "Some big ranking events coming up and hopefully I can be 100% for these..."
