Price cruises to Cardiff homecoming win against Aspinall, seals Night Two of 2023 Premier League Darts

Gerwyn Price has delighted the home crowd on his return to Cardiff on Night Two of 2023 Premier League Darts claiming a 6-3 win over Nathan Aspinall in the final.
Price who is not used to receiving partisan support on his side saw off Chris Dobey, Michael van Gerwen and finally Aspinall in his run to victory with a 97 average and 54% on the doubles in the final with no replication of the two 105 averages for 'The Asp' but a superb night nonetheless.

He moved into a 4-1 lead after Aspinall initially broke to go 2-1 down and went one away from there with a 13-darter on double 20.
But Price missed 157 for the match on double 20 after Aspinall had missed multiple darts to hold and 'The Asp' continued to mess around on doubles only to hit double two last dart.
Not able to find tight treble hitting to start the leg, Price though was still well placed and first to a finish. He left double 20 with Aspinall only able to pressure and took the win.

- What a undignified way to bow out of the darts for the greatest darts player ever, absolutely the best. Nobody was as dedicated or committed or even half as good as Phil. He completely dominated darts, not only the greatest darts player ever but also one of the greatest sportsman ever. Ayrton Senna is my ultimate hero but Phil won 16 World Championships, Eric only won 5 and that won't be surpassed. Thank you Phil, not my most favourite player but certainly the greatest and loved watching you completely destroy every opponent, almost never missed a treble or any check out. - I don't have a problem with someone being whoever they want to be, but ultimately there is a Ladies and Mens format for a reason. What is going to stop substandard men claiming that they are transgender and entering the ladies format for an opportunity to increase their profile, prize money, ranking etc etc. We know that the current crop of PDC players will suck up to van Leuven and will not speak out.richieburnettrocks23-10-2024
- The bottom line is Beau will be a triple World Champion soon. She is so many levels better than the rest of the ladies. Lorraine and Aileen have never really raised their game, I really expected the quality of the ladies game to have improved but excluding Beau, it seems to have detiorated.
