It has been all on the seeds so far at the German Darts Open, with Josh Rock, Krzysztof Ratajski and Ryan Searle joining the line-up for the final day in Jena.

It was Rock who in particular impressed. He was facing Jules van Dongen who himself has finally been showing some of the form that got fans excited when he won his Tour Card at Q-School last year. Still with work to do, but he will aim towards an Ally Pally debut.

But came up against a Northern Irishman in spectacular form. Rock averaged 108 in a 6-2 win with seven 180's, 46.2% (6/13) on the doubles and a high checkout of 148. Despite missing five darts at doubles, Van Dongen didn't do a lot wrong averaging nearly a ton and hitting four 180's, but came up against an inspired Rock.

Also in impressive form was Krzysztof Ratajski who took down Ricky Evans 6-3. It was nearly a ton on the averages for 'The Polish Eagle' who soared to victory and a place in Sunday's action with two 180's and a high checkout of 108. Despite his scoring prowess, Evans didn't muster a single maximum but hit nine 140's in defeat.

From the spectacular to the scrappy as Ryan Searle edged past Kevin Doets, a recent ProTour finalist. It was a 6-3 win for 'Heavy Metal' who hit a 95 average and 50% on the doubles, with the Dutchman in particular struggling on the outer ring missing 13 darts in all and Searle as a result could take his chances.
