The first players through to the third round and the final day at the
German Darts Open are Jose de Sousa and Andrew Gilding who opened up proceedings in Jena.
Both seeded players this weekend, they took out Mike de Decker and Madars Razma respectively on Saturday. 'The Special One' won it 6-4 with De Decker missing the chance to take it to a last leg decider.
Missing 130 on the bull after De Sousa missed double 13 for the match off 81, De Sousa punished him from there to take it and move through.
While despite an impressive display yesterday, Madars Razma couldn't trouble Gilding. It was a comfortable 6-2 win for 'Goldfinger' with Razma only averaging 78 in defeat. While it was an 86 average for Gilding with 40% on the outer ring in moving through.

This year, the Euro Tour tournaments will be broadcast by Viaplay for the first time. The afternoon sessions start at 1300 local time, 1200 BST, while the evening sessions start at 1900 local time, 1800 BST

How much prize money is to be won?
During each Euro Tour tournament, £175,000 in prize money is distributed. All qualifiers are guaranteed £1,250, while the top 16 players on the placement list at the German Darts Open will receive £2,500 anyway. However, these 16 players must win their first game in the second round for the prize money to actually count toward the world rankings and other rankings.
