The
European Darts Matchplay continues on Saturday afternoon with second round action seeing the top seeded names coming into proceedings in Trier during the ninth
European Tour of the season.
Among those in action include
Rob Cross who has reached three European Tour finals this season without sealing one despite being a two-time reigning European Champion. He begins his campaign second up against James Wilson with Krzysztof Ratajski and Luke Woodhouse opening up.
Nathan Aspinall will look to continue his return to form when he faces Jermaine Wattimena who backed up a victory on home soil in his first game on the World Series by thumping Ross Montgomery 6-1.
Stephen Bunting will face the rising Polish talent, Sebastian Bialecki who took down Mervyn King albeit playing in a PDC Europe shirt and without his darts or luggage but an ever improving player who will take advantage of any poor display from 'The Bullet'.
Callan Rydz produced an exceptional 125 checkout using two bulls during his opener but will face the recent World Cup champion and one of the top players in World darts this year in
Damon Heta. A battle of two of the PDC's best outside of the elite eight and one to watch in the session.
As is
Ryan Searle facing
Martin Lukeman in another showcase of two of the most improved players on the PDC Tour and likely a high quality affair. Wesley Plaisier will look to cause another European Tour upset as he faces
Jose de Sousa before Chris Dobey ends the session against Lukas Wenig.
