Smith and Beaton among players set for second chance to qualify as PDC Home Tour Groups 26-28 revealed

Michael Smith and Steve Beaton are among the players who will be given a second chance to qualify in the PDC Home Tour after the line-ups and fixtures were confirmed for Groups 26-28.

These PDC Home Tour groups will take place between May 12-14 and will see many faces like Smith and Beaton return to proceedings after 101 Tour Card holders out of the 128 registering their interest in playing.

The remaining groups as a result will see the previous group runners up face off. Tuesday sees former ranking winner, Steve 'The Bomber' Brown take part in a group which includes Belgian youngster Mike de Decker.

Martin Atkins will also be involved, as will Conan Whitehead who gets his second chance after leading his group until Keegan Brown had to pull out due to WiFi trouble; only for Max Hopp to use that to his advantage.

Beaton takes part on Wednesday in Group 27 which will also feature Scott Waites, Ross Smith and Ron Meulenkamp.

Smith has a tough group to contend with in the form of World Youth Champion, Luke Humphries; as well as Dutch talent Mike van Duivenbode and Andy Boulton.

Places in Groups 29-32 will be confirmed in due course; with certain players not yet on the schedule due to scheduling reasons.
