Smith joins elite group after adding to European Tour title tally

After adding the German Darts Grand Prix title to his ever growing collection, Michael Smith has now joined a elite group of players with six or more European Tour event wins to their name.

As mentioned, the German Darts Grand Prix final win over Nathan Aspinall on Monday was Smith's sixth Euro Tour title. A pair of European Darts Trophy wins in 2014 and 2015, the International Darts Open in 2015, the Gibraltar Darts Trophy in 2017 and the Dutch Darts Championship in 2022 being the rest of his event wins.

The only other players that have picked up six or more European Tour titles are Michael van Gerwen, Peter Wright and Gerwyn Price, illustrious company to join that's for sure.

The Euro Tour will return on the 21st of April in Premstätten for the Austrian Darts Open. Only time will tell if one of the aforementioned four players will add another Euro Tour title win to their name or a joker from the pack will emerge victorious.
