The PDC Summer Series is coming up next month with five Players Championship events in a row but due to the rankings being clarified, the ProTour Order of Merit has undergone some changes.

The money which would have naturally lapsed anyway from both the PDC and ProTour Order of Merit between March 16 and July 8, will be removed ahead of the five events.

This has seen Michael van Gerwen in particular lose £119,000 from his original total before the break due to Coronavirus of £167,750.

Price now tops standings as Gurney and Whitlock fall

He now sits down in eighth place in the ProTour Order of Merit. Gerwyn Price is one of the big winners from this, as are Peter Wright and Krzysztof Ratajski; all three have been consistent on the PDC ProTour so their loss has been minimal.

Price has only lost £44,000 and is now top after spending most of the first quarter of the year closing in on Van Gerwen at the top.

Wright and Ratajski come up from fourth and fifth. Ian White has gone down to 5th losing nearly £100,000 himself; but due to his prowess on the ProTour, he will be one of the main players who could yet make this back up.

Daryl Gurney has slid down to 13th from his original position of eighth while Brendan Dolan has gone up twelve places to 12th from 24th.

On the other hand, Simon Whitlock has gone from 26th to 45th in the Order of Merit with some big names either rising or falling ahead of the Summer Series.
