On Monday, the PDC announced the participants in the Premier League. And that selection sparked a lot of controversy.

Van der Voort also finds it strange that the PDC only announced the participants a few days before the start of the Premier League. "I think they would have liked Gabriel Clemens to be there, because of the German TV market. But then he would have had to go far at The Masters this weekend. That didn't happen and then they would have really faced a lot of criticism if they had added him anyway. That's going too far even for the PDC."
