Williams claims maiden PDC Challenge Tour title with victory in Event Seven

Jim Williams has claimed his maiden PDC Challenge Tour title with victory in Event Seven in an all Welsh clash against Lewy Williams.

Williams hit a 100 average in winning 5-2 after coming through a tough run in the opening event of the day.

He began proceedings by defeating Rachel Brooks (5-1), Ross Twell (5-0) before defeating Colin Osborne (5-2), Richie Burnett (5-2), Tony Newell (5-2) and leader once more in the Order of Merit, Scott Mitchell (5-4).

The top two players on the final 2020 PDC Challenge Tour Orders of Merit who have not otherwise won Tour Cards for 2021 and 2022 will receive two-year Tour Cards.

The highest ranked player on the Challenge Tour Order of Merit receives an invitation to the 2020/21 World Championship.
