Dekker and Stompé impressed by Van Gerwen: 'He walks like a boss on the stage again'

Is the 'old' Michael van Gerwen finally back? In the studio of RTL 7 Darts, Co Stompé and Jan Dekker were already convinced of it.

Van Gerwen impressed with a 3-0 victory over Devon Petersen in the second round of the World Grand Prix. ''He was playing very well again. Petersen also had chances but Michael constantly put him under great pressure, which made him miss. You also clearly notice that he throws much better with his old arrows, that is mentally important as well'', Stompé said.

"He also walks like a boss on the stage again, like nobody is going to catch me. He always used to do that'', Dekker added. "You also see the hunger in his eyes again. No doubt that has to do with the fact that he lost regularly in recent months, he wasn't used to that."
