"Win two matches and you're a rich man": Clayton aims to prove doubters wrong with run to second Premier League title

After sneaking into fourth place despite a quarter-final defeat to Nathan Aspinal last week in Aberdeen, Jonny Clayton maintained his 100% record of reaching the play-offs in all three of his Premier League Darts campaigns.

No stranger to taking the victory on finals night either, Clayton lifted the title in 2022 so he knows just what it means to be crowned Premier League Darts Champion. Taking on fellow Welshman and World Cup of Darts partner Gerwyn Price in his semi-final, Clayton is delighted to have justified his selection but is keen to not just settle for a place in the final 4.

"Three years on the trot I'm in finals night so I'm obviously doing something right," Clayton told Online Darts on Wednesday at the Premier League Darts press day. "I think it will be fantastic. If we all fire, for the fans it will be brilliant. We're all big scorers, we can all finish games. I think it's going to be fantastic."

"It's do or die isn't it? If you lose your out of it if you win you've got a lot of money and a trophy for your cabinet," he continues. "Win 2 matches tomorrow and you are a rich man."
